Achieve your goals with hypnotherapy

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS

Hypnosis is a natural state; it is not sleep. While you will feel deeply relaxed, you remain fully aware and engaged throughout the process.

During a hypnosis session, you gently achieve the alpha brain wave state. This is a wonderfully calm and focused state, similar to that feeling just before you drift off to sleep or just as you're waking up. In this state, you are highly aware and suggestible, meaning your mind is more open to positive internal communication and change.

It's important to emphasize that you only accept suggestions that you agree with and are beneficial to you. Your mind always maintains a protective filter, and you are always in control. There's no loss of willpower, nor can you be made to do anything against your will or values.

Many people find the experience surprisingly familiar to the experience of daydreaming, driving in autopilot (where you reach your destination without consciously remembering every turn), or being totally absorbed while watching a movie or reading a book. In these moments, you're deeply focused, but still aware of your surroundings if needed.

This heightened state of focus, rather than removing control, actually gives your mind more control – not less. It empowers you to access your inner resources, gain new perspectives, and facilitate positive changes in a comfortable and effective way.

I hope this helps demystify the process and reassures you about the natural and empowering nature of hypnosis.

HOW IT WORKS

Prior to our session, you will be asked to complete an intake form. This form is an important first step that helps me gather essential information about your concerns and goals.

During our session, we will begin by reviewing your intake form together. I will then ask you questions to gain a deeper understanding of the issues you wish to address. This conversation allows me to tailor the session specifically to your needs.

Following our discussion, I will explain the hypnosis process in detail. You will then have the opportunity to experience the induction, which is the process of guiding you into a relaxed, focused state. Once you are comfortably in this state, we will gently embark on a regression to explore the events that have contributed to beliefs that may have been hindering your life and accomplishments.

The core of our session will involve reframing, transforming, or removing these limiting beliefs. This is where the healing process truly begins.

To support continued progress and reinforce the positive changes, I will create a personalized recording based on our session. I recommend listening to this recording daily for a minimum of three weeks. The combination of your hypnosis session and the consistent reinforcement from the recording is designed to help establish and solidify new beliefs. This, in turn, will strengthen new behaviors and thought patterns, making them feel natural and second nature.

The aim of this approach is to facilitate changes that can be permanent and lasting.

I'm excited to guide you on this journey of transformation.

My approach is grounded in three complementary modalities—Inner Child Work, Parts Therapy, and Trans

1. Inner Child Work

The inner‑child work invites us to meet the vulnerable, often wounded, part of ourselves that carries the imprint of early experiences. By gently reconnecting with this aspect, clients are able to:

  • Identify and release deep‑seated emotional wounds that have remained hidden in the subconscious.
  • Re‑parent the inner child with compassion, safety, and affirmation, fostering a sense of wholeness.
  • Cultivate lasting self‑love and resilience that extends into every area of life.

I have found this work to be both beautifully profound and powerfully transformative, allowing clients to heal wounds that traditional talk therapy often cannot reach.

2. Parts Therapy (Internal Family Systems)

Parts Therapy offers a structured yet fluid map of the mind, recognizing that we are each a system of interacting sub‑personalities (or “parts”). This approach enables clients to:

  • Gain rapid clarity about internal conflicts, such as self‑sabotage, perfectionism, or chronic anxiety.
  • Communicate directly with protective or wounded parts, facilitating swift resolution of subconscious blockages.
  • Experience a profound sense of “unstuckness,” often within a few sessions, because the work targets the root cause rather than surface symptoms.

Clients frequently report feeling an immediate release of tension and a renewed sense of agency after a single parts‑focused session.

3. Transformational Work (Hypnosis‑Based)

While conventional therapy engages the conscious mind, Transformational Work leverages hypnosis to access the subconscious directly. In this state, we can:

  • Locate the origin of limiting beliefs and emotional patterns that have been operating beneath awareness.
  • Re‑frame or rewrite those beliefs in a way that aligns with the client’s highest aspirations and wellbeing.
  • Create lasting, self‑reinforcing change that endures beyond the therapeutic setting.

Because the subconscious mind is highly receptive during hypnosis, change is often rapid, deep, and sustainable—a true catalyst for lasting healing and personal growth.

LISA BESNER, CHT

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of working with individuals in private client practice.

Through countless conversations and shared experiences, I've come to understand a fundamental truth:

"it's not what you eat, it's what eats you."

This insight often leads to the same perplexing questions:

Why is it so hard to stay motivated?

Why do emotional issues feel so paralyzing?

Where does discipline go when we need it most?

My own journey into understanding these challenges is deeply rooted. Both my parents were hypnotists, and my late mother, a remarkable woman, was my mentor. This background means I come to hypnotherapy organically, genetically, and experientially. I haven't just studied it; I've lived it.

This is why I believe

hypnosis can be an incredibly powerful tool to help you get past the roadblocks that have made staying focused and achieving your goals so difficult.

The only true requirement is having the desire to change.

If you're feeling stuck, if you're tired of being held back by what's "eating you,"

I invite you to be brave. Let me be your guide on a journey towards greater inner peace and happiness.
